The Darlaston Craft Club showcased incredible displays for both Halloween and Christmas last year, with a focus on reuse and recycle.
They cleverly repurposed previous year's displays to minimize waste. One standout project was a captivating spider and web crafted from yarn they had at home or donated to group, now a beloved permanent fixture at Darlaston Library's children and young adult section.

The club member behind the spider is also exploring creating seasonal accessories like hats.
For Christmas, they transformed a large granny square Christmas tree into a smaller version displayed at the library alongside a knitted nativity scene and carol singers.
Additionally, the club knitted various items like hats, scarves, and mittens for those in need, available for anyone to take, no questions asked.
The remaining squares from the tree were repurposed into blankets and donated to a dog shelter, showcasing the club's commitment to community and creativity.

They also spread joy through crocheted random acts of kindness, leaving little trinkets around town for people to discover.
